Once a season the S.O.S. goes to Kabuki, a sushi restaurant in King of Prussia, for Dinner and a Movie. This event generally runs from 7-10:30 pm and all movies are shown on our projector with 2.1 sound.

Tredyffrin Library had asked us to give a presentation Entitled “What is Anime/History of Anime.” In this four-hour program we covered how anime is different from American cartoons, the history of anime, and several aspects of being an otaku or anime fan. We are hoping the library will ask us to hold similar programs in the future.

Outline of Summer 2003program.

Every New Year’s Eve we host a party for S.O.S. members. We run anime, videogames, AMV’s, JMV’s, and we do serve alcohol for our members of 21 years of age or older. Last year’s party was a huge success with over 30 people in attendance. This year we hope to be even bigger and better.
Every Spring and Summer the Japanese House and Garden in Fairmount Park opens up as a cultural museum. This requires a great deal of clean up in the spring for their opening and in the fall for their closing.
